A very big warm welcome to Gylly from all the team!<\/strong><\/p>

We are stoked to launch our new shop, with an epic range of designs and products. Everything Gylly is Sustainable, Ethical and Accessible, from pen to production to packaging, in line with our company \u201cSEA of Approval\u201d.<\/p>

We are a family run, Cornish business with strong values and big ideas, working with like-minded creatives. Educated in Architecture, Sustainable Design and Innovation, our founder and team at Gylly all believe that with the climate-crisis and disconnect in society, good design is ONLY sustainable ethical and accessible design! We want our children and grandchildren to have a future and a home, we want to see humans be stewards of nature, we want to be able to continue surfing oceans and climbing mountains, we want to save our one planet. We believe that good design can not only promote change, it can create change.<\/p>

Gylly was founded one morning on Gylly beach in Cornwall UK. Beyond its stunning coastline, the area is known for its community of innovative creatives, its embrace of diversity and inclusivity, its long and varied maritime history and its traditional cultural and spiritual identity and connection to nature and the sea.<\/p>

The word Gylly is steeped in Celtic linguistic and Cornish cultural history. It translates to the junction of land and sea and symbolises the interconnectedness of nature, heritage and community. It has offered our company endless inspiration, motivation and reflection. From this our name and logo was realised and company ethos and mission brought to life.<\/p>

\"GyllyThe Gylly logo is more than it appears (on purpose), it was inspired and designed to make one contemplate \u201cwhat is beneath the surface\u201d. Looking beyond what we can see is vital in today\u2019s world. To accept that we have little understanding of what\u2019s going on beneath the surface of our oceans, of the changes happening to our planet, of the inner workings of politics and policies, of the wonderful differences of societies, cultures and religions, of the needs and invisible disabilities and challenges of communities, families and individuals and most importantly that their is so much hope, inspiration and knowledge to gain from all that we don\u2019t yet know or understand and that the unknown is not something to be feared, but something to be embraced and valued, because what we can\u2019t see and what we don\u2019t understand is often beautiful and bountiful, can offer different perspectives and problem solving, if we are willing to steward and share, rather than consume and control.<\/p>

Through our founders and teams\u2019 own journeys of neurodiversity, cultural and life changes and challenges, we understand the importance of inclusivity and accessibility, we recognise just how scary facing change can be, but value that change is a vital necessity when things do not work, need updating or can be improved upon for the betterment of one and all. That is the basis of all good design, be it sustainable clothing, innovative tech, social revolution or climate change.<\/p>
